Maricopa County Events► May 5 – 10:30 AM – Cave Creek: The Second Upper Room. Mike Riddle, the tireless, articulate creation science educator, exposes the march of secular humanism through the public education system, many churches, and seminaries. Topics include: a brief history of spiritual warfare - creation vs. humanism - what the Gospel means - two key verses about abosolute truth - America’s spiritual D-Day. Preview Mike Riddle’s approach here. ► May 20 – 7:00 PM – Phoenix: Critters! - Fascinating Fauna that Fracture the Fable of Evolution. Interesting oddities about various animals that could only have been created, thus demonstrating the impossibility of their arising through evolution. When we share these facts with people, they can realize there is a Creator, and the Gospel becomes meaningful to them. Presented by Dr. Kezele, Assistant Professor of Biology at Arizona Christian University, this information adds another word ot the title: Fun! ► May 21 – 7:00 PM – Tempe: Created to Fly: Biological Inspiration for Advance Aircraft. Bird designs have inspired the designers of flying machines for over a century. That makes sense - birds can fly and their design shows how it can be possible. But flying creatures have features that show irreducible complexity and thus reveal God’s creative actions. Humans have advanced in robotics, computer simulation, and aviation to produce amazing flying machines also, but they do not even approach God’s design genius on display in birds and bats. Larry Kisner (M.S., Mathematics and Physics) delivers fascinating material aimed to be uplifting for everyone. Click for locations and more details at the Maricopa County Events Page. Orange County, California – Tell People in SoCal► June 1 – 7:30 PM – Natural Selection and Speciation - Having Fun with Dogs and the Ice Age. You might imagine a cartoon doggie scrambling to get traction on a frozen lake, and in a certain sense you would be right. Dr. Kezele uses examples of dog breeds to help explain what a "species" is, how "breeding" techniques work, how the Ice Age could have pressured species development, and whether these concepts harmonize with the Bible’s historical accounts.
